As referenced in the STETZERiZER® Filter FAQs, a typical home requires about 20 filters before its electrical environment is effectively “cleaned up”. While your home may require a different number than this, we recommend purchasing 20 filters to start, which is why we offer the STETZERiZER® Home Kit. STETZERiZER® Filters are designed to work together as a system, with 20 filters being the optimum number for a typical home — one or two STETZERiZER® Filters simply cannot do the work of 20. Installing an inadequate number of filters will result in overloaded filters, leading to an ineffective solution and a reduction in product lifespan. Properly installed, STETZERiZER® Filters should last a lifetime.

In order to enjoy the maximum benefits of the STETZERiZER® Filter system, the optimum number of filters must be installed in the appropriate places throughout the home. Filters are designed to be installed throughout the home in a pattern that corresponds to the distributed nature of the need. For example, installing two filters close to a desktop computer or a television is normally appropriate and effective. Installing filters, normally from two to four, close to the main breaker panel is recommended to address high frequency currents entering the home from external sources. The total number of filters required depends on the size of the home, the amount of electrical equipment, and the quality of the power from the grid. Again, 20 filters will, in most cases, be adequate for the typical home.

The preferred installation method is to be guided by the STETZERiZER® Microsurge Meter, which is why we’ve included it in the STETZERiZER® Home Kit. The STETZERiZER® Microsurge Meter measures the amount of high frequency energy present on a building’s electrical wiring. Readings of 30 or lower indicate an acceptable environment, while readings of 50 or higher indicate a need for additional filters. Readings between 30 and 50 are marginally acceptable, but should be reduced if anyone in the area is electrically sensitive.

The actual square footage of your home is not necessarily a determining factor for selecting the proper number of STETZERiZER® Filters. In our experience, however, a larger home will generally have more electronic devices in use and will require a greater number of STETZERiZER® Filters to clean up the dirty electricity present on its wiring.
